Fernley Citizens Leadership Academy
In the City’s commitment to public service, promoting citizen engagement, and open communication to its citizens, the City of Fernley partnered with the Fernley Chamber of Commerce to create, organize, and run an annual Fernley Citizen’s Leadership Academy. The goal of the Citizen’s Academy is to teach the participants how the City of Fernley government is structured, how the departments operate, the programs and services the City provides, and give participants an opportunity to meet and discuss important City issues with staff and elected officials. The Academy is held annually early in the year at City Hall, where each class features a different department of the City of Fernley.

Customer Satisfaction Survey
The City of Fernley is committed to improving customer service to all who interact with City staff. In order to get public input for areas of improvement, City staff would like customers to complete the Customer Satisfaction Survey.
What happens to the completed and submitted surveys? The Customer Service Team reviews the submitted surveys monthly and gives them to the appropriate department for follow-up on all unsatisfied customers, as long as contact information is available. Staff also presents quarterly and annual reports of survey results to the City Council.
