City Leadership
The general powers of the City Council are described in state statutes, Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS): Chapter 266.260-460. There are five members of the City Council that are elected from five wards within the city. The Mayor is elected at large. The general powers of the Mayor are described in state statutes NRS: Chapter 266.165-200.
