State of Nevada Benefits and Services for Veterans

The Nevada Office of Veterans Services provides several veteran benefits for housing, financial and employment benefits. Nevada State Veterans benefits are provided for eligible veterans. Questions concerning these benefits can be answered by contacting the Nevada Office of Veterans Services at:

Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery
Eligible veterans and members of their immediate family may be buried at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. There is no charge for the plot, vault and opening & closing of a gravesite for a Veteran. A $350 fee (subject to change) is charged for the burial of the spouse or dependent of a veteran. In cooperation with Habitat For Humanity, this program builds accessible housing for potential homeowners with disabilities, including veterans.

After a disaster, find temporary rental housing.
 
The Fisher House Foundation provides temporary housing at major military installations for the families of injured men & women in uniform.
 
Directory listings of state & local services for homeless vets include contact information for Federal & state agencies, veterans services organizations, & advocacy groups.
 
The application deadline has been extended on this federal government web site, which offers calculator tools, advice, a brochure, and descriptions of programs for those who want to modify or refinance their mortgages. New information has been added for military homeowners. Videos, a calendar of local events and a Spanish version of the web site are available. Selected information is provided in six additional languages.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to "honor and empower wounded warriors"of the Unites States Armed Forces with a vision to "foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history".
