Retired Senior Volunteer Program

General Information

Established in 1971 and now one of the largest senior volunteer organizations in the nation, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program engages people 55 years old and older in a diverse range of volunteer activities. RSVP volunteers choose how, where, and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours to many hours per week.

The Nevada Rural Counties RSVP vision is to realize that a new generation of concerned citizens are here who care for each other, and act to enhance the quality of life in their communities through volunteer service that will be meaningful to them.

Mission Statement

RSVP’s mission is to help strengthen the fabric of the communities in which we serve by fostering greater civic engagement for citizens 55 years old and older by providing meaningful opportunities for volunteering in their communities, and by providing high impact independent living programs for low-income and homebound seniors to assist them in staying independent and in their own homes as long possible.
