Businesses that sell, transfer, lease, or rent tangible property in the State must register with the Department of Taxation for a sales use tax account. Once you have been issued a business license by the Secretary of State, contact the Department of Taxation to determine if you are required to register for the sales use tax account. If required, the completed Nevada registration form stamped by the Department of Taxation must be returned to the City Clerk's office with the application.
