City of Fernley Senior Citizen Advisory Committee

On July 7, 2021, the Fernley City Council adopted Resolution No. 21-004 which established the City of Fernley Senior Citizen Advisory Committee. The purpose of the committee is to advise the City Council on matters relating to senior citizens; to provide an informational resource to senior citizens on matters of concern to senior citizens; and to promote programs for the benefit of senior citizens. The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee members: Sharon Holley, Jacqueline LaVoie and Denise Moorman.

The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee meetings are scheduled on the 2nd Friday of every other month, unless otherwise noted, in the City Council Chambers and being at 9:00 AM. The meeting will also be available by Zoom.

Food Bank of Northern Nevada: Produce on Wheels

The Food Bank of Northern Nevada's Produce on Wheels program focuses on providing seniors with access to fresh, nutritious foods. 

Eligibility

Clients must be 60 years or older and live in Nevada. Clients must have a valid ID and be willing to complete an intake form and survey.

Frequency

Clients may only visit their assigned site but may come to both monthly distributions at that site. The second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 9:00 am - 10:30 am at the Fernley Senior Center.
