Fernley government has let its citizens down dramatically! Fernley Business licensees who currently operate businesses with public access and their employees who do not wear face masks are in violation of Fernley Municipal code, Lyon County state of emergency regulations and the State of Nevada’s Emergency Directives iPhase 1 and Phase 2. Both phases make it MANDATORY that all employees wear face masks! The State’s directive took effect on 05/08/2020 and it was renewed on 05/29/2020. Fernley’s Municipal codes as stated in the title require businesses to comply with the law and “prohibit practices which do may affect the public health and safety! Lyon county also has codes regarding businesses that create or ignore safety issues. The City of Fernley has failed to be proactive which is in direct conflict with their Mission and Vision Statement! I plead to the City Council to act upon this immediately!
